SHIPPING INFORMATION

The World's Best Carrot Cake is made from the best and freshest organic ingredients we can find. We make your cake by hand (see "the cakery"), in small batches, to provide the best possible flavor.  Each 8", three-layer cake weighs approximately 5 pounds, and the shipping weight, with packaging, is about 8.5 lbs.

Once we bake and ice your organic World's Best Carrot Cake, we chill it thoroughly overnight, wrap it in decorative tissue paper, cellophane and accents, and place it on ice packs in a styrofoam cooler box. The cake is surrounded by foam beads to provide more insulation and prevent movement. The cooler is enclosed in a cardboard shipping box and clearly marked as perishable.

Your order will be sent via US Postal Service Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation.  This means a cake going to the west coast from our cakery takes three days to deliver. Shipping cakes to such places as California and Oregon, we have never had an organic World's Best Carrot Cake arrive in anything but delectable shape! Cakes on the east coast usually take two days to deliver. The organic World's Best Carrot Cake is very moist which helps ensure its fresh arrival. We ship only in the continental U.S.

 

PLEASE NOTE:  DELIVERY DATE IS BASED UPON ORDER CONFIRMATION DATE!!!   You must plan your special orders with enough lead time to allow us to bake and chill your cake!  The shipping schedule chart, below, allows you to figure how far in advance to place your order for a special arrival date.

* We do not ship to the West Coast for Saturday delivery.
We do not ship Saturday, Sunday or Monday of holiday weekends.

Orders Sent to a P.O. Box:
If you request your order be sent to a Post Office Box, we are responsible for safe and timely delivery to the P.O. Box only.  Your organic World's Best Carrot Cake is perishable.  If it is not picked up right away, we cannot guarantee its quality.  PLEASE let the recipient know they must be checking their P.O. box for arrival of their organic World's Best Carrot Cake!

Overnight Orders are available Monday through Friday, ONLY.

Confirmation by TELEPHONE with Avi is required for an overnight order.

Avi MUST have at least 24 hours notice to bake your cake!!!  (Overnight shipping rates are in addition to the regular price.)

Someone must be available to receive your cake when it arrives.  We are not responsible for the condition of a cake that is left on a doorstep or for which delivery is postponed because no one is home!  Nor will we guarantee orders for which we are given an incorrect address.

Local Delivery:
An organic World's Best Carrot Cake delivered near our cakery does not require shipping and cooling costs. Please call or e-mail us for the local price.
