Our daughter Hannah… the
Boss!
"As a 25 year
veteran of the restaurant business, as owner
and chef, I can give Avi's carrot cake only the
highest note of regard. Her carrot cake is,
undoubtedly, the finest I've ever tasted.
Sublimely smooth texture, rich yet light, baked
to absolute perfection. We served her creative
presentation of this cake to 235 guests at my
50th birthday bash and everyone was knocked
out! I've been making carrot cakes, in numerous
iterations, since I served it on my wedding day
in 1974, and none of them even come
close."

BIO’s
Hannah:
Born into a life full of
gourmet food, it was only natural for Hannah to
devote her life to the “sweeter” side of
things. In addition to being the “World’s
Best” baker, Hannah has a passion for animals
with a special interest in horses. Born
into perhaps the strangest family in the south,
Hannah, having married wolfman Jason, has
finally been able to flourish. She is
hoping for a litter of pups
soon.
Jason:
Having been raised by a
pack of wild wolves, Jason Layosa is perhaps
the craziest person you’ll ever meet. But then,
you should meet
Heather.
Cody’s
Mini-Biography:
Born in Wisconsin and
raised in Arizona, I’ve traveled the U.S.,
attended Antioch College, and settled in North
Carolina. After months of groveling, I was
hired at the cakery to ice cakes, in large part
due to my skills as a juggler. Since my date of
hire I have been instrumental in the adoption
of hip-hop power hour at the bakery. My
favorite pastimes are imagining hybrid animals,
dancing with nice people, and drafting
correspondence. One day, I hope to travel the
globe vending my hand-stitched bloomers, and/or
attending graduate school to study biological
sciences. Until
then, I will continue to study the fine art of
cake
icing.
